Chief Operating Officer for Institute for Medical Quality

The Institute for Medical Quality (IMQ), a subsidiary of the California Medical Association, seeks an individual, who has interest and experience in the oversight of health care quality, to be the Chief Operating Officer of IMQ. IMQ is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of care provided to patients across the continuum of health care. IMQ offers a wide range of educational, accreditation, consultation, and certification programs. The COO is responsible for the daily operations of IMQ and provides direction and supervision to the program administrators and staff of the Consolidated Accreditation and Licensure Survey [CALS] program, Ambulatory Care Review program, Corrections and Detentions Health Care program, CME Accreditation program, CME Certification service, Peer Review and Medical Staff Consultation services and Educational Program activities. 5 years+ experience preferably in managerial position in health care administration • Master’s degree in Public Health or related field preferred.
