TITLE: Cervical Cancer/HPV Project Director
LOCATION: Sacramento/Natomas
DIVISION: CMA Foundation
EXEMPTION STATUS: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Vice President, Programs
POSITION SUMMARY:
Direct and oversee the CMA Foundation’s Cervical Cancer/HPV Project, coordinating the California Cervical Cancer Free Campaign, development of clinical and patient resources and the prevention and treatment of HPV as an STI among college students. The Director will manage all components of this project and serve as the staff liaison for those organizations working in partnership with the Foundation in our project activities. The Project Director is responsible for budget development and management, grant writing, report writing, project web updates and supervision of staff assigned to this project.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all aspects of the Cervical Cancer/HPV Project.
- Supervise and manage the development of clinical and practice improvement resources and the community health components of this project.
- Staff committees and advisory groups.
- Work with a multi-stakeholder group to plan, implement and evaluate a multiyear California Cervical Cancer Free Campaign.
- Oversee communications related to the project, including updates to project partners and CMA Foundation board of directors.
- Develop and administer grants and budgets.
- Complete and manage annual project plans.
- Complete progress reports and program evaluation.
- Supervise staff and interns assigned to the Cervical Cancer/HPV Project.
- Updating and disseminating Cervical Cancer/HPV Provider Toolkit.
- Planning Vaccine Summit.
- Outreach to diverse communities, including health disparities convening.
KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in community or public health, nursing or related field.
- Experience working in multi-sectoral social marking, community awareness campaigns.
- At least three years of program management experience.
- Ability to develop and manage project plans.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working with physicians.
- Experience with staff supervision.
- Experience with grant writing a plus and budget management a must.
- Ability to travel and occasionally work evening and weekend events.
- Computer skill in Microsoft Office: Access, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, Internet Explorer and Word.
