Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center Symposium on cancer prevention held at UCSF.
A remarkable gathering of select medical scientists from cancer centers throughout the state and nation was held at UCSF on November 5th.
There were 14 state-of-the-art presentations covering a wide range of cancer prevention topics, including Tobacco and Cancer; Cancer Disparities Research; Nutrition, Physical Activity; Biomarkers and Preclinical Cancer; Early Detection; Chemoprevention; and The Translation of Evidence for Cancer Prevention Policy.
These excellent presentations provided a sweeping view on the current status of cancer prevention and a gold mine of important research data.
